Software Engineer

About the Role The role focuses on designing, testing and maintaining software programs for operating systems or client deployments, ensuring high quality and reliability. It involves contributing across the software development life cycle to deliver robust solutions for client needs. What You'll Do

• Understand requirements and design the software product
• Develop software solutions by studying information needs, system flow, data usage and work processes
• Investigate problem areas and follow the software development life cycle
• Facilitate root cause analysis of system issues and define problem statements
• Identify ideas to improve system performance and availability
• Analyze client requirements and translate them into feasible designs
• Collaborate with functional teams or systems analysts who carry out detailed investigations
• Confer with project managers to obtain information on software capabilities
• Perform coding and ensure optimal software module development
• Evaluate operational feasibility by analyzing requirements, software development and proposed software
• Develop and automate processes for software validation by designing test cases and executing them
• Modify software to fix errors, adapt to new hardware, improve performance, or upgrade interfaces
• Analyze information to plan installation of new systems or modifications
• Ensure code is error free and test failures are minimized
• Prepare reports on programming project specifications, activities and status
• Document code and replication patterns per project norms and compile comprehensive documentation
• Coordinate with the team on daily progress and document it
• Provide feedback on usability and serviceability and report quality risks to stakeholders
• Capture requirements and clarifications from the client for quality work and timely delivery
• Document solutions with flowcharts, layouts, diagrams and code comments
• Maintain professional customer interactions via email, fault reports, voice calls and etiquette
• Respond promptly to customer requests and minimize complaints What We're Looking For
