About the Role The purpose of this role is to design, test and maintain software programs for operating systems or applications deployed at client sites, ensuring 100% quality assurance. You will work across the software development lifecycle to analyze requirements, design solutions, and deliver robust software for client environments. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and project managers is essential to translate client needs into effective software capabilities. What You'll Do
- Design, test and maintain software programs for operating systems or applications deployed at client end, ensuring 100% quality assurance.
- Understand requirements and design software by studying information needs, system flow, data usage and work processes; develop software solutions; investigate problem areas; facilitate root cause analysis; identify ideas to improve performance and availability.
- Analyze client requirements and convert them into feasible designs; collaborate with functional teams or systems analysts; confer with project managers to obtain information on software capabilities.
- Perform coding and ensure optimal module development; evaluate operational feasibility; develop and automate test cases, scenarios and usage cases; modify software to fix errors, adapt to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces.
- Analyze information to plan installation of new systems or modifications of existing systems; ensure code is error free; prepare reports; maintain documentation; coordinate with the team on daily project status; provide usability feedback and report quality risks to stakeholders.
- Status Reporting and Customer Focus: capture requirements and clarifications from the client; take feedback for on-time delivery; participate in continuing education to stay current on best practices; document and demonstrate solutions; ensure timely responses to customer requests and maintain professional customer interactions. What We're Looking For
- Experience in understanding requirements and designing software; ability to study information needs, system flows, data usage and work processes; knowledge of the software development life cycle and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in coding and software development practices; ability to evaluate feasibility, develop and automate test cases, fix errors, adapt to hardware, and upgrade interfaces; maintain clear documentation and reports; coordinate with team; provide usability feedback.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to interact with project managers and stakeholders; experience documenting software and processes and delivering with a customer focus.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current on best practices; willingness to participate in training and learn new programming languages.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, testing automation, and software quality metrics is a plus, as mentioned in performance expectations.
