About the Role Wipro Limited is seeking a Software Engineer to design, test and maintain software programs for operating systems or client-end applications deployed at a client site, delivering high quality and reliable solutions. The role focuses on understanding requirements, designing solutions, and ensuring 100% quality assurance throughout the software development life cycle. What You'll Do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software for operating systems or client-end applications, ensuring alignment with quality assurance standards.
- Analyze requirements, study data flows and work processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into feasible designs; perform root cause analysis and propose performance improvements.
- Develop and automate software validation by creating test cases, scenarios and usage cases; fix errors, adapt software for new hardware, upgrade interfaces, and document changes; ensure code is error-free and well-documented; prepare status reports and coordinate with the team.
- Manage status reporting and customer focus: capture requirements and clarifications, obtain feedback for on-time delivery, maintain effective client communications, and document solutions for client understanding.
- Support continuous integration, deployment and monitoring; meet performance metrics related to onboarding, implementation, quality (CSAT), and MIS/reporting; contribute to adherence to release plans and customer satisfaction. What We're Looking For
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle and the ability to translate client requirements into feasible designs.
- Proficiency in coding and debugging, with experience modifying software for performance improvements and compatibility with new hardware.
- Experience developing and automating test cases and software validation, plus applying root cause analysis to system issues.
- Ability to collaborate with functional teams and project managers, document technical solutions, and communicate with customers professionally.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and keeping up-to-date with best practices and programming languages.
