About the Role Tyler Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and support financial management solutions for local government and school districts, integrating with human resources, revenue management, tax billing, and asset management. This role will work to analyze, design, code, test, document, and implement functionally sound and well-integrated application systems, in accordance with customer requirements and Tyler's standards. The position is based in Manila, Philippines, with 0-5% travel. What You'll Do
- Participate in analyzing, designing, writing and testing code, documenting and implementing functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-integrated application systems in alignment with customer requirements and organizational standards.
- Participate in new application development and existing system enhancements by coding system features according to system designs.
- Maintain existing application programs by fixing bugs or resolving operational deficiencies in both released software and software slated for future release.
- Ensure program, module and system integrity through thorough testing and adherence to company standards.
- Work through all phases of the software development life cycle, including research, design, analysis, requirements, implementation, test automation, and maintenance.
- Utilize new technologies and tools to modify products and provide integration with applications developed internally and externally.
- Prepare and modify program and system documentation.
- Provide guidance to less experienced team members to ensure knowledge transfer.
- Achieve departmental goals and timelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or comparable work experience.
- Typically 2+ years of software development experience with database technology.
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of software development practices, computer science theory, and understanding of relevant technologies.
- Proficiency with: .NET / C# (or similar high-level language), Python (or similar scripting language), SQL (SQL Server 2016+), AWS or related technologies.
- Experience writing and testing code to meet strict deadlines.
- Understanding of product architecture and underlying technologies.
- Understanding of development processes.
- Experience with data modeling tools, web services and/or service-oriented architecture.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience providing guidance to less experienced staff.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced technical environment.
