Role overview
Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Software Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Latin America
Our client is one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing job sites.
This role focuses on applying AI coding assistants and large language models to accelerate everyday software development. Working directly with code and AI coding assistants, the engineer builds capabilities that automate workflows, improve efficiency, and increase developer productivity while diagnosing and resolving coding and AI-related issues. The overarching objective is to maximize development output through the practical and effective use of AI tooling.
Requirements

5+ years of software development experience, with hands-on experience in AI and agentic development.

Proficiency with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or comparable tools.

Strong understanding of AI principles and underlying technologies, with practical experience using large language models (LLMs) rather than building them.

Prompt engineering skills to craft effective prompts that improve AI output and performance.

Hands-on development experience in Java or Go, with Java preferred.

Experience with Git, along with strong problem-solving skills and technical ownership.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve coding and development issues using AI tools.

Experience with AI coding tools beyond those listed above.

Familiarity with additional AI-assisted development platforms and tools.
Responsibilities

Apply AI coding assistants to enhance developer productivity across everyday development work.

Leverage large language models effectively for coding, debugging, and automation tasks.

Design and refine prompts to maximize AI performance and output quality.

Develop code that adds new features to our products, including MCPs, MCP frameworks and harnesses, agentic developer environments, and other supporting tooling and infrastructure.

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve coding and AI-related issues.
