Software Engineer

Role overview Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Software Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client is one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing job sites.

In this role, you will work hands-on with code and AI coding assistants to automate workflows, improve efficiency, and boost developer productivity. You will develop and maintain solutions that expand the context available to AI agents, troubleshoot and resolve coding and AI-related issues, and contribute to the development of new AI-assisted capabilities. The immediate priorities include the Sesame project — a long-term solution for reliably hosting and managing MCPs — followed by a read-only MCP project that exposes a broad range of read-accessible sources. This role is not a strong fit for candidates whose experience is primarily focused on ETL pipelines, systems configuration and management, or script development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience.

• Hands-on experience with AI and agentic development.

• Proficiency with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar tools.

• Strong understanding of AI principles and underlying technologies, with practical experience using large language models (LLMs) rather than building models.

• Prompt engineering skills to craft effective prompts that improve AI output and performance.

• Hands-on experience developing in Java or Go, with Java preferred.

• Experience with Git, along with strong problem-solving skills and technical ownership.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve coding and development issues using AI tools.

• Experience developing a software product.

• Will be a plus

• Familiarity with MCPs, including setup and configuration, and an understanding of common troubleshooting scenarios.

• Experience with AI coding and AI-assisted development tools beyond those listed above.

• Experience owning and maintaining an MCP server.

• A track record of building agent skills that achieved broad adoption and accelerated development.

• Systems thinking — the ability to break down problems into clear sets of composable layers and abstractions.

Responsibilities

• Develop code to add new features to products and systems such as MCPs, MCP frameworks and harnesses, agentic developer environments, and other supporting tooling and infrastructure.

• Use AI coding assistants to enhance developer productivity in day-to-day development work.

• Leverage large language models effectively for coding, debugging, and automation tasks.

• Develop and refine prompts to maximize AI performance and output quality.

• Thoroughly review code and provide constructive feedback to team members during code reviews.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve coding and AI-related issues.
