Software Engineer - Student Position
We are looking for a motivated Software Student to join our R&D team in Jerusalem. In this role, you will help design, develop, and implement software systems for data pipelines, laboratory automation, and production tools. Working alongside experienced engineers in a dynamic environment, you will gain hands-on experience building tools from scratch, integrating hardware instrumentation, and developing production-ready code that directly advances our silicon photonics technology.

Teramount-Molex is an innovative growth company in the field of silicon photonics packaging, solving one of the key challenges in enabling next-generation co-packaged optics solutions for AI infrastructure, Data Centers, and High-Performance Computing. Following our recent acquisition by Molex, our multidisciplinary team combines optics, packaging, and operational expertise to bring cutting-edge technologies from concept to scalable production.
What You Will Do
- Assist in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, scientific computing scripts, and laboratory automation workflows.
- Partner closely with multidisciplinary R&D teams, participating in software discussions and code reviews.
- Help integrate software applications with scientific instrumentation, research equipment, and hardware.
- Develop graphical user interfaces (GUIs), optimize algorithm performance, and contribute to software quality through systematic debugging and testing.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 3rd-year university student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- Ability to work 3 days/week on-site in Jerusalem
- Strong foundation in Python development and software engineering best practices
- Strong analytical mindset, proactive attitude, and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills
