PlayStationオンラインサービスの設計・開発・運用を担っているソフトウェアエンジニアリング部門です。
例えば、オンラインランキング、対戦相手を探すマッチメイキング、ゲームタイトルのプレイ到達度を示すトロフィーといった各種サービスを、Web API などの形で開発し、ゲーム会社や PlayStation のシステムソフトウェア向けに提供しています。これらのサービスは長期間にわたり安定して運用し続ける必要があり、私たちの業務の大きな柱となっています。
ゲーム会社とゲームプレイヤーの双方を直接の顧客とする、非常に興味深い業務内容です。
20代、30代のメンバーが中心の比較的若い組織で、技術・コスト・効率といった観点から、立場に関係なくフラットに議論できる風土があります。職業柄ゲーム好きな社員も多く、製品に対する思い入れの強さも特徴です。また、海外との協業も多いため、日常的なミーティングに加え、海外出張の機会もあります。

PlayStationオンラインサービスは、世界中のユーザーに長年サービスを提供し続けている大規模なオンラインプラットフォームです。
私たちのチームでは、15年以上運用されてきた数多くのサーバーアプリケーションやプラットフォームに向き合いながら、PlayStationオンラインサービスを長期的に支え続けるため、持続可能なサービスライフサイクルの実現に取り組んでいます。
