About the Role As a back-end developer at Booz Allen, you’ll use the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks to deliver scalable, user-focused solutions. You’ll work with the development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites with consistent performance and reliability for our clients. What You'll Do
- Identify potential risks and contribute to solution development for client systems
- Implement, maintain, and support agile software development to modernize systems
- Design and implement back-end components and APIs to power enterprise applications; optimize data performance and conduct performance benchmarking
- Use open-source frameworks and tools and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, performant solutions
- Create tools, systems, and sites with consistent performance and scalability What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience implementing, maintaining, and supporting agile software development to modernize systems
- 5+ years of experience in software development using basic programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks
- Experience with Elastic, Java, and Spring Boot
- Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, and software products
- Experience developing and maintaining the technology needed to power the components which enable the user-facing side of enterprise applications, databases, data storage solutions, performance testing, benchmarking, and optimizing data performance
- Experience creating solutions to complex problems independently or in cross-functional teams
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 14+ years of software engineering in a Linux environment, or 18+ years in lieu of a degree Nice to Have
- Experience with Java, JavaScript, SQL, Python, Server-Side Development, Middleware, API Development, Core Application Systems, Node.js, Groovy, Scala, NiFi, Spring Cloud, Spring Core, or Spring Data
- Experience writing source code for new applications and generating/enhancing code samples for existing applications
- Experience acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation/optimization
- Knowledge of mobile applications
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 per year (USD)
