Job title: Software Engineer, PSN Platform & SDK (C/C++)
About the Role PlayStation Network (PSN) platform core features and SDK engineering role within a collaborative, multi-scrum-team environment. You will work on PSN client/server foundations, network protocols, and library development used by millions of devices and thousands of studios worldwide. This role emphasizes end-to-end development and opportunities to influence new game experiences from planning to delivery.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, test, and maintain PSN foundational features and SDKs for PlayStation consoles.
- Develop libraries using network protocols and WebAPI/REST; provide technical support to game developers and internal teams; and document systems clearly.
- Develop in C/C++ (some projects may use C# or JavaScript); participate in cross-platform expansion to PC and other platforms; contribute to rapid, agile development.
- Collaborate with server teams and studio support, conduct specification discussions, debugging, and issue analysis; gain end-to-end development experience and opportunities to influence new game experiences from ideation to release.
- Work in an agile environment to respond to changing requirements and deliver with speed.
What We're Looking For
- Must: C/C++ development experience (3+ years or equivalent knowledge).
- Nice to Have: network and multithreaded programming experience; client/server architecture on the client side; experience in resource-constrained environments (embedded devices); cross-platform development across various OS and hardware.
