An iMPact Business Group client who develops and supports an industry specific ERP solution is seeking to hire an experienced Software Engineer.

This is a full-time role based in Grand Rapids, MI and utilizes a hybrid on-site work model.

This role is focused on the design, development, modernization, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of an industry-specific ERP software platform that supports a wide variety of customers in the Retail/Wholesale Agricultural industry.

This role will also participate in a multi-year ERP modernization initiative by converting legacy ERP functionality (Progress ABL based systems) into modern web/mobile-based applications in a new Technology platform (Servoy).

Typical duties -

• Develop, test, and deploy software enhancements and bug fixes within a custom ERP platform
• Participate in the modernization of legacy applications (Progress ABL) into web and mobile technologies (Servoy)
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Participate in Agile ceremonies
• Perform peer code reviews and assist with testing other Developers' work
• Assist in software design, architecture discussions, and technical planning
• Develop, maintain, and support software solutions across the ERP platform, that functionality includes:
• Financial Management
• Purchasing
• Inventory
• Sales & Order Management
• Production & Crop Management
• Logistics & Shipping
• Reporting & Analytics
• Data Integrations
• Import/Export Utilities
• Provide technical support for complex issues
• Participate in team on-call after-hours support rotations
• Communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Build trusted relationships with customers
• Create technical documentation, testing scenarios, and functional specifications
• Ensure converted applications meet quality, performance, and usability expectations
• Seek opportunities to use AI to assist with the modernization and automate monotonous tasks

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent work experience)

• 3+ years of Software Development experience

• Experience working in an Agile environment

• Experience with Accounting / Financial software - strongly preferred

• Experience developing / supporting ERP software - preferred

• Familiarity with Agricultural, Manufacturing, Distribution or Industrial automation needs

• Experience with and/or a willingness to learn what you don't already know -
