About the Role
Motorola Solutions’ Guardian team builds the call taking and dispatching platform used by emergency service operators across the UK and Europe. The Software Engineer will work within an agile software delivery team, developing mission-critical software to a high standard and contributing to design, development, documentation, and testing. The role is remote with occasional travel and offers the chance to lead development for an expansion product. What You'll Do

Work as part of an agile software delivery team with the Product Manager and Software Test Engineers.

Develop mission-critical or supporting software to a high standard, including design, development, technical documentation, and testing.

Build frontend systems in JavaScript/TypeScript; contribute to the C#.NET backend and ReactJS/TypeScript frontend.

Follow modern development practices, including SOLID, agile processes, Git repositories, and pull requests.

Take the opportunity to carve your own path by leading development for an expansion product.

Communicate with stakeholders to diagnose and resolve issues.

Work in a remote environment with occasional travel to impactful locations. What We're Looking For

Experience building frontend systems in JavaScript.

Sound understanding of HTML and CSS.

Passion for writing high-quality code.

Understanding of modern software development practices and principles, such as SOLID.

Exposure to modern development workflows, including agile processes, Git repositories, and pull requests.

Ability to attain NPPV3 and SC clearance. Must be a resident of the UK for a minimum of 5 years to obtain.

Academic and Technical Qualifications: a formal qualification (Degree) in Computing Science or equivalent experience.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
