About the Role We are seeking a Software Engineer to review and refactor existing code into high-quality, reliable, and reusable components. You will collaborate with designers, testers, developers, and product managers to enhance performance, usability, and security across our applications, including internal projects and customer work in our Digital Health Innovation Lab.
What You'll Do
- Review and refactor existing code to deliver high-quality, maintainable software.
- Design reliable and reusable code and UI components.
- Improve performance and usability of applications; identify bottlenecks and debug/fix issues.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team throughout the product lifecycle.
- Maintain standards for reliable, scalable, and secure systems.
- Develop highly efficient user interface components.
- Analyze website performance and drive improvements.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and discuss with the team.
- Provide support and share knowledge with other developers.
- Work on customer projects as well as internal projects and the Digital Health Innovation Lab.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
- Prolific knowledge of React.js and related technologies/frameworks like TypeScript and Next.js.
- Strong analytical and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Ability to review/refactor code, and design reliable, reusable components.
- Familiarity with debugging, bottlenecks, and performance tuning.
Nice to Have
- Back-end knowledge with MVC frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Rails, Django).
- HIPAA/FHIR/HL7 or other healthcare protocols and knowledge.
- Expertise in other front-end frameworks such as Vue.js or React Native.
