About the Role Auriga is hiring a Software Engineer focused on Kernel/Toolchain for a LATAM region. You will work on a real-time OS DO178C-certified project, developing kernel drivers and RTOS features, and supporting a customized GNU/GCC, GDB and LLVM toolchain for a Unix-like RTOS.
What You'll Do
- Develop kernel drivers and RTOS features for the real-time system
- Develop and support customized development toolchain (GNU: GCC and GDB + LLVM) and port to stable RTOS versions
- Port/Customize toolchain components and libraries (e.g., Libgcc) to the RTOS and fix issues
- Write tests, bug fixes, documentation rationales for code changes, and support product certification per DO178C
- Collaborate in a cross-functional team and participate in certification activities
- Provide legacy software support and contribute to software lifecycle processes
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of development experience
- Strong C/C++ programming skills and algorithmic background; programming olympiad problem solving is a plus
- Knowledge of software development lifecycles
- Experience with Unix/Linux kernel internals and RTOS concepts
- Proficiency with Unix development tools and environments (GNU toolchain, LLVM, shell scripting, Makefiles)
- Experience using VS Code or Eclipse IDEs
- Ability to work in a team
- Understanding of toolchain internals and hardware platforms (x86, ARM, RISC-V, PowerPC)
