Job title: Software Engineer - Java/Spring (Energy Market Platform)

About the Role DXC Luxoft is launching a new project for a global leader in energy transmission and distribution, with a primary focus on the APAC region. You will contribute to an enterprise electricity market management platform for a national TSO, spanning grid congestion management, balancing, cross-border coordination, and flexibility services. The system enables secure, transparent, and cost-optimized market operations and runs on Windows/Linux using Java, Spring Frameworks, Hibernate, web services, RDBMS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Angular.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain Java/Spring-based modules for market operations, including grid congestion management, balancing, cross-border coordination, and flexibility services.
• Implement near real-time balancing and forecast-based decision support by integrating grid, generation, and market data to determine optimal system states.
• Support day-ahead and intraday planning as well as real-time actions (balancing, redispatch) with automated optimization and controlled operator intervention.
• Build data integration, asset and flexibility management, and full settlement capabilities to ensure regulatory compliance and end-to-end support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across DXC Luxoft and the client across the APAC region; ensure secure, scalable enterprise IT deployment on Windows/Linux; leverage Docker/Kubernetes and Angular for frontend contexts.

What We're Looking For

• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Frameworks, Hibernate, web services, and RDBMS.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Angular; familiarity with Windows/Linux enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of electricity market operations or willingness to learn in the domain; ability to work in a fast-paced, globally distributed project.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; proactive and customer-focused.

Nice to Have

• Experience with energy market optimization, asset and flexibility management, data integration, and settlement capabilities.
