About the Role NetApp is seeking a motivated, tech-savvy college student to join the E-Series engineering team as a part-time student contractor. In this role, you will help maintain our datacenter, execute tests, and write automation scripts that support the E-Series product line. This internship offers hands-on experience, opportunities to develop professional skills, and exposure to real-world product development and deployment within a collaborative engineering team. What You'll Do
- Collaborate with scrum teams and test engineers to construct and maintain hardware configurations.
- Assist in validating customer use cases and ensuring seamless integration of new features.
- Participate in managing the lab environment, including equipment setup and troubleshooting.
- Contribute to developing and refining automated testing processes.
- Execute manual and automated tests.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay current with industry practices and technologies. What We're Looking For
- Proficiency or familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash.
- Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and VSCode.
- Knowledge of monitoring and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a willingness to learn and contribute to a dynamic work environment.
- Availability to work part-time for 20 hours per week, 5 days a week.
