The Software Engineer Identity role will contribute to identity and access management solutions and help secure our products and customers. What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain identity-related security features and services that scale for millions of users
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and security teams to deliver authentication, authorization, and identity management capabilities
- participate in design reviews, code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure high quality and secure software
- build reliable, observable, and secure software with an emphasis on engineering excellence and customer safety
- contribute to security-by-design practices across Microsoft products What We're Looking For
- Strong software engineering background with experience in security or identity systems
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language and willingness to learn others
- Ability to think critically about security trade-offs and performance in distributed systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across teams
- Familiarity with cloud security concepts and authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth, OpenID Connect) is a plus Nice to Have
- Experience with large-scale identity platforms, Azure AD or similar
- Contributions to security tooling, threat modeling, or security automation
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and threat modeling methodologies
