About the Role Join the Avigilon Alta Video UI team powering our VMS. We're evolving our platform to support deep-tier interconnection across the Motorola product portfolio. We value high-performance engineering, architectural integrity, and reliable real-time tools. Our frontend stack features Vue 3, Pinia, and TypeScript, with Go on the backend. We're looking for a developer who can navigate logic, manage state, and help us build maintainable solutions. This role is based in the London area with hybrid working (2 days in the office in Uxbridge, West London). What You'll Do

  • Analyze, develop, and maintain software for the organization’s products and systems. Familiarity with/interest in engineering patterns and best practices.
  • Develop, validate, and test: build tested, maintainable code and debug when necessary.
  • Implement state management patterns and API integrations to support a scaling ecosystem.
  • Delivery: basic understanding of CI/CD principles and deployment, Git.
  • Communicate: comfortable collaborating with other teams on solutions and reaching out for information/requirements when necessary. What We're Looking For
  • Basic Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of software engineering experience with knowledge of HTML, CSS, TypeScript and ideally modern frontend frameworks.
  • Understanding of application state patterns, data flows (e.g., Pinia, Vuex, or Redux) and reactivity/observables.
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful API, websockets; solid understanding of web development principles.
  • Foundation in data structures/algorithms and design patterns; ability to see long-term implications of solutions.
  • Demonstrated team player skills and willingness to work with others.
  • Desired Skills:

  • Analysis: ability to investigate and get to the root cause of issues and find a solution.
  • Flexibility: happy exploring new areas of the codebase and jumping into new features; can prioritise effectively.
