About this role
About the Role
Join the foundation engineering team at a Series B education technology company building an AI-powered learning platform. You will strengthen shared mobile, AI, and developer infrastructure while also contributing to product software used by students.
What You'll Do
-
Own and improve core parts of a Flutter mobile app, including shared components, design systems, state management, performance, and tooling.
-
Build and support agentic and AI infrastructure, including MCP servers, background agent platforms, evaluations, and feedback loops.
-
Integrate agentic coding tools into engineering workflows and improve CI/CD, release tooling, and developer feedback cycles.
-
Ship user-facing product features alongside platform work.
-
Keep shared systems reliable so product engineers can build on them with confidence.
What We're Looking For
-
Two to four years of production experience building mobile or web applications, with professional backend engineering experience.
-
Hands-on experience shipping product or backend software in production; research-only work is not a substitute.
-
Flutter and Dart experience is a plus, but strong web application experience is also relevant. Deep platform engineering or architecture tenure is not required.
-
Daily, fluent use of agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar, with a considered perspective on their strengths and limitations.
-
A strong academic background, entrepreneurial experience such as startup or founding-engineer work, and clear English communication.
-
Good design judgment and an interest in improving systems that help other engineers work effectively.
