About the Role In this hands-on role, you will build core services across our product offering to power Float Technologies' platform. You will design and engineer features for real-time systems that our clients rely on around the clock. - Design and implement core services across our product offering for real-time processing.
- Build features with a focus on performance and scale, taking ownership from conception to deployment.
- Collaborate with teams and clients to support rapid intraday deployment using a modern cloud-native stack.
- Work in a fast-moving environment and contribute to the growth of a company shaping institutional finance. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, or a related field.
- This role is based in-person at our NYC office.
- Strong proficiency in Python; knowledge of Java is a plus.
- Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB or DynamoDB.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and deployment tools (CDK, Terraform) and cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Strong understanding of modern SDLC.
- Strong understanding of software design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Nice to Have
- Experience building or integrating Generative AI solutions (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini) for financial applications.
- Familiarity with financial products and ideally complex derivatives.
- Experience with trading, pricing, or risk systems.
- Knowledge of financial markets and reference data.
- Understanding of data management and analytics.
- Prior experience working with institutional clients or within capital markets.
