Job title: Software Engineer, Conversation Engine
About the Role Moveworks' Conversation Engine team is scaling a cutting-edge Generative AI product for enterprise users. You will focus on scaling and optimizing the engine, building infrastructure, and collaborating with ML and product teams to deliver robust conversational experiences.
What You'll Do
- Construct an extensive product infrastructure with user-friendly interfaces for engineers to customize generative AI models, collect data/feedback, and deliver domain-specific experiences.
- Design scalable API abstractions for the conversation platform that supports MS Teams, Slack, Web, and a neutral API for other parts of the system.
- Optimize the dialog engine to support diverse features with private domain knowledge in the cloud, real-time multilingual translation, minimal memory, low latency, and robust development.
- Champion best practices for coding, API design, scalability, robustness, and optimization; foster excellence and continuous improvement.
- Provide comprehensive insights into performance with robust logging/tracing, debugging/triaging tools, and automated metrics for monitoring and analysis.
- Collaborate with ML engineers, application engineers, product teams, and customer support to drive new features and scalability initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Strong foundation in computer science and software engineering; experience building scalable systems.
- Deep understanding of clean, modular, and scalable API design; ability to champion best coding practices and influence others.
- Passion for optimizing systems; well-versed in tracing, logging, and metrics frameworks; systematic approach to identifying and resolving latency bottlenecks, race conditions, and throughput limits.
