Software Engineer

Cato Networks is seeking a talented and passionate Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will help drive the next phase of Cato’s growth by enabling new use cases, supporting expanding customer needs, and contributing to evolving growth models while maintaining the reliability and scalability of Cato’s cloud-native architecture. You will design and build scalable services that collect and analyze data from multiple networks, expose data through web applications, APIs, and integrations with back-office systems. This role involves close collaboration with multiple teams across Cato to deliver high-impact solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement enterprise platform solutions in collaboration with product management, research, and Information Systems group teams.
• Build scalable services that collect and analyze data from multiple networks, exposing data via web applications, APIs, and integrations with back-office systems.
• Research and prototype new technologies, adapting them for use within Cato’s product.
• Collaborate with multiple development teams across the company to deliver high-impact solutions.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and Go; experience with Play framework, Spring Boot, etc.
• Excellent knowledge of NoSQL databases and relational DBs; PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis.
• Frontend experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience in building and operating SaaS microservices with high scale and production load.
• Hands-on experience developing with AI tools and frameworks, including building shared AI capabilities such as skills, sub-agents, agentic workflows, and reusable AI-powered components.
• Deep understanding of software engineering principles.
• Experience testing services in continuous integration metrology.
• BSc. degree in Computer Science from a known university.
• Motivated, a fast learner, independent, and great at problem-solving.
