About the Role Canonical is hiring a Software Engineer to contribute to Juju, a large open-source Go project that powers complex distributed software systems worldwide. The role focuses on designing, delivering, and supporting features for Juju, the engine behind model-driven operations across public cloud, private cloud, Kubernetes, and bare-metal. This is a globally remote role based in the EMEA region.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to the design, delivery, and support of features in Juju.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ship reliable software for complex distributed systems.
- Work across public cloud, private cloud, Kubernetes, and bare-metal environments.
What We're Looking For
- Strong Go programming experience and a track record contributing to open-source projects.
- Experience with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure (public/private clouds, Kubernetes).
- Ability to work effectively in a globally remote, distributed team.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Juju or model-driven operations.
- Familiarity with Ubuntu and Canonical ecosystems.
