Job Summary
As a Member of Technical Staff 2, you will resolve complex ONTAP issues. Collaborate with Support and engineering teams for root-cause analysis and product fixes. You will:
- Investigate and resolve complex ONTAP subsystem issues.
- Perform root-cause analysis using logs, traces, packet captures, core dumps, telemetry, and debugging.
- Reproduce issues, identify defects, and develop or validate code fixes.
- Work with Support, Development, QA, and Product Management to resolve issues.
- Develop automation to speed troubleshooting and reduce repeat problems.
- Enhance product reliability, supportability, and diagnosability through reviews and best practices
Job Requirements
- Experience in storage networking is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Google Cloud and experience with distributed cloud environments, Kubernetes, and container orchestration platforms.
- Strong understanding of operating systems, networking, and distributed systems.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Python with hands-on debugging experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex, ambiguous problems in large-scale distributed storage systems.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across geographically distributed engineering teams.
- Experience developing diagnostic tools or automation for production issue analysis.
- Experience working directly with enterprise customers or customer-facing engineering teams.
Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
