Job title: Software Development Leader
About the Role
You’ll take on a leadership role in software development for HMI on train control systems, driving delivery that meets QCD objectives. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and support train integration and validation to ensure robust software solutions.
What You'll Do
- Monitor, control, and consolidate the software development work package for DDU
- Organize and lead work package reviews and manage risk assessment and mitigation plans
- Develop HMI software requirements aligned with system specifications and RAMS constraints
- Interface with System Engineers, Control Engineers, RAMS Engineers, and suppliers to finalize requirements
- Design software architecture and develop reusable software components
- Generate executable code for MPU and DDU
- Provide support during hardware/software integration and validation
- Implement development practices and maintain KPIs for project reporting
- Manage workload and mentor a team of ~5 members
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Hands-on SDLC experience across multiple projects
- HMI software development experience, including UI/UX and ergonomics
- Proficiency in IEC 61131-3 standards and tools such as 3S Codesys or Qt
- Knowledge of real-time embedded Linux distributions and scripting languages
- Familiarity with network protocols (Ethernet, CAN, RS232, AFDX)
- Experience with safety-critical or mission-critical software development (EN50128)
- Strong understanding of Train Control and Monitoring Systems (preferred)
- Leadership and team management experience

- Additional rail domain or leadership experience
