About the Role The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will contribute to OrderMesh's automated testing efforts by building test frameworks, writing tests, and integrating CI/CD processes to ensure robust quality for microservices and web applications. What You'll Do
- Build and maintain automated test frameworks for microservices and web apps
- Develop and execute tests across front-end, back-end, and integration points
- Integrate testing with CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, tests, and deployments
- Conduct load and performance testing using Grafana k6; collaborate on Kafka/Istio-based environments
- Utilize Playwright for end-to-end UI testing; test REST and gRPC APIs
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to improve quality and delivery speed What We're Looking For
- 3+ years building automated test frameworks for microservices and web apps
- Strong Node.js/JavaScript/TypeScript skills
- CI/CD integration experience with tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps
- Experience with load testing using Grafana k6
- Experience with Kafka and Istio
- Playwright knowledge for automated UI testing
- CS bachelor’s degree or equivalent Nice to Have
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman or Microcks
- Monitoring and observability experience with Grafana, Datadog
