About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Software Development Consultant to work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design technical solutions, develop scalable software applications, and improve existing systems. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients, product managers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure software applications.

• Evaluate existing systems, identify performance bottlenecks, and recommend architectural improvements.

• Develop backend services, RESTful APIs, and integrations with third-party platforms.

• Participate in architectural discussions and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks, and development practices.

• Review code, enforce coding standards, and promote best practices in software development.

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective, maintainable solutions.

• Work with databases, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools.

• Prepare technical documentation, solution designs, implementation plans, and project estimates.

• Support deployment, production troubleshooting, and ongoing application maintenance.

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.

• Manage multiple technical assignments while meeting project timelines and quality expectations.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

3–7 years of professional experience in software development, engineering consulting, or technical solution delivery.

Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or Go.

Experience designing and developing REST APIs and distributed applications.

Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software design principles.

Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and writing efficient SQL queries.

Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Agile development methodologies.

Experience diagnosing application issues, debugging code, and improving system performance.

Strong communication, analytical reasoning, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, and event-driven architectures.

Experience with Spring Boot, Node.js, Django, or similar application frameworks.

Understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.

Exposure to infrastructure as code, observability, logging, and performance monitoring.

Experience working in client-facing consulting engagements or delivering solutions across multiple projects.
