About the Role
The Software Developer is responsible for coding, testing, and documenting application programs that are moderate to complex in nature, following development department standards and procedures. You will participate in analyzing, designing, writing and testing code, and implementing functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-integrated application systems in alignment with customer requirements and organizational standards. This role involves working through all phases of the software development life cycle and leveraging new technologies to integrate applications developed both internally and externally.
What You'll Do

Participate in new application development and existing system enhancements by coding system features according to system designs.

Maintain existing application programs by fixing bugs or addressing operational deficiencies for both released and upcoming software.

Ensure program, module, and system integrity through thorough testing and adherence to company standards.

Work through all phases of the SDLC, including research, design, analysis, requirements, implementation, test automation, and maintenance.

Utilize new technologies and tools to modify products and provide integration with applications developed internally and externally.

Prepare and modify program and system documentation.

Provide guidance to less experienced team members to facilitate knowledge transfer and training.

Achieve departmental goals and timelines; perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or comparable work experience.

Demonstrated strong knowledge of software development practices, computer science theory, and understanding of relevant technologies.

Experience with Java / TypeScript; .NET / C# (or similar high-level language); SQL; XML/XSD/XSLT; web services or related technologies.

Experience writing and testing code to meet strict deadlines.

Understanding of product architecture and all underlying technologies; development processes.

Experience with data modeling tools, web services and/or service oriented architecture.

Ability to work well both independently and within a team; strong written and verbal communication; strong interpersonal skills.

Experience providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff; negotiates to balance enhancements with business constraints.

Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; keen attention to detail; ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

Java/TypeScript proficiency preferred; familiarity with SOA/web services and data modeling tools.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $51,035 - $90,000 per year (USD).
