About the Role The Software Developer Test Engineer is responsible for development and execution of exploratory, integration, verification and automated tests to ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle. They participate in design reviews, risk analysis, test design and debugging, and track software quality metrics to identify and resolve malfunctions. This role monitors all stages of software development to ensure quality standards are met. What You'll Do
- Interact with product development teams to understand the project and testing objectives
- Create test plan and test cases based on requirements
- Develop and execute automated and unit tests/plans and analyze and report test results
- Setup test environment (hardware, software and network)
- Test software releases by executing assigned tests (manual and/or automated)
- Participate in troubleshooting and risk assessment of defects with design team to identify root cause and resolution
- Track software quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Participate in continuous improvement of the Quality System, software development and testing procedures What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Software Test and/or other areas of the SDLC to test medical device instrumentation and analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering or related field, or/and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Development experience programming in C#
- Understanding of automated test framework
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles
- Experience with databases, such as Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with performance and stress testing tools
- Experience with source-code control systems
- Experience with defect tracking systems
