Dallas TX (Hybrid 2-3 days onsite per week) Duration: 12 months Contract with potential extension Pay Rate:60/hr W2

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer / Technical Support Engineer to support a business-critical platform and its integration with upstream and downstream enterprise systems. This is a hands-on development role that combines application development, production support, system integrations, and collaboration with both technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise-scale applications and integrations

• Build and support backend services, APIs, and web services

• Develop and enhance UI components using modern front-end technologies

• Support production incidents, troubleshooting, and deployment activities

• Work with messaging, monitoring, and integration frameworks

• Collaborate with developers, IT leadership, and business teams to gather and refine requirements

• Create and maintain SQL scripts and work with large datasets

• Participate in CI/CD processes and build automation initiatives

• Contribute to test automation, monitoring, and application reliability efforts

• Required Qualifications

• 9+ years of software development experience designing, building, and supporting large-scale applications

• Strong experience with Java and/or Python

• Experience developing and consuming APIs and web services

• 7+ years of experience with databases and data technologies such as:

• PostgreSQL

• Microsoft SQL Server

• Oracle

• Apache Kafka

• Apache NiFi

• Elasticsearch

• Strong SQL development and scripting skills

• 2+ years of front-end development experience with Angular, React, and JavaScript

• 5+ years of experience with CI/CD and build tools including Maven, Gradle, and Jenkins

• 4+ years of cloud experience, preferably with GCP and Kubernetes

• 4+ years of experience with test automation, SRE monitoring, and synthetic monitoring

• 2+ years of experience with SSRS Reporting and Power BI

• Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting large-scale financial services or enterprise platforms

• Experience with job scheduling/orchestration tools such as Airflow or Tidal

• Experience using Dynatrace or similar monitoring platforms

• Agile development experience

• Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD)
