Job title: Software Developer, Online Services – Player Identity

About the Role Ubisoft's Online Services – Player Identity team is seeking experienced software developers to design, build, and operate account services powering player identity across Ubisoft games and online experiences. You will contribute to scalable, secure identity and access management, and work on services that track user actions to support customer support. Join a distributed systems environment using modern technologies.

What You'll Do

  • Participate in all phases of software development, including analysis, design, implementation, testing, integration, debugging, deployment, and support of online services.
  • Estimate development effort and contribute to delivery planning.
  • Provide high-quality support for production systems and live services.
  • Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners.
  • Ensure proper integration of account services with related platform systems.
  • Assess technical risks and evaluate the impact of architectural and implementation decisions.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in online services, gaming, cloud computing, and web development.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Significant professional experience in software development, including production systems.
  • Strong experience with C# and .NET Core.
  • Experience designing RESTful APIs and distributed systems with a microservices architecture.
  • Experience with cloud-based services, preferably AWS.
  • Experience working with containerized applications (Docker).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code quality tools, and version control.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, reliability, performance, and security.
  • Experience troubleshooting and supporting production systems in a live-service environment.
  • Ability to assess technical trade-offs, risks, and impacts when making design decisions.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with cross-functional teamwork.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive solutions from concept to delivery.
  • Curiosity and willingness to stay current with evolving technologies and industry trends.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with C++ and SDK development.
  • Experience with React and modern web application development.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Experience with AWS services such as Aurora RDS and ElastiCache Redis.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and operational ownership of services.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, and SonarQube.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.
  • Experience working on large-scale online platforms, SaaS solutions, or gaming services.
