About this role
Position Overview
The Internal Compute Frameworks (ICF) team is building a cloud-like abstraction layer over the firm’s global infrastructure. Our platforms reduce the complexity and friction of low-level infrastructure for investment and technology teams, spanning compute orchestration, batch scheduling, service hosting and petabyte-scale storage.
We are looking for an experienced C++ developer to design and build high-performance infrastructure, platforms and tooling. Depending on team needs and experience, the role may focus on compute, orchestration, services, storage or shared capabilities across the ICF ecosystem.

Build and maintain scalable, production-grade C++ systems
-
Develop platforms for compute, workload orchestration, service hosting and large-scale storage
-
Create simple, consistent interfaces over complex global infrastructure
-
Design for performance, reliability, scalability and operability
-
Partner with investment and technology teams to shape and deliver solutions
-
Own systems from architecture and implementation through deployment and support
-
Diagnose complex software and distributed-systems issues
Required Qualifications

Strong system design, debugging and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to own production systems in a fast-paced environment
-
Clear communication and confidence working directly with stakeholders
-
Experience building highly available distributed systems at scale
Nice to Have
-
Knowledge of storage, scheduling, orchestration or service platforms
-
Familiarity with database internals, indexing, SQL or data formats such as Arrow, Parquet or Protocol Buffers
-
