Job title: Software Developer Engineer in Test
About the Role As a Software Developer Engineer in Test (SDET) at Marvell, you will be a key contributor to delivering high-quality connectivity products. You will help design and execute automated tests for high-speed networking PHYs, optical modules, and firmware, and you will analyze test data to continuously improve product quality.
What You'll Do
- Gain expertise in the functional operations of high-speed (>= 1.6 Tb/s) networking PHYs, optical modules, and other high-performance connectivity devices.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to understand product/feature requirements and usage models, designing comprehensive test plans.
- Develop, implement, and optimize advanced automated test scripts, leveraging programming skills, particularly in Python, to ensure efficient and accurate verification processes.
- Collect, maintain, visualize, and interpret test outcomes/data to continuously improve testing procedures and product quality.
- Generate detailed bug tickets and regression reports for tracking and resolving issues promptly.
- Work closely with other engineering teams to diagnose and resolve firmware and test issues efficiently.
- Build and maintain software infrastructure and automation environments to support efficient and scalable testing processes.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and their practical application.
- Proficiency in Python programming, with a focus on developing automated testing solutions.
- Familiarity with embedded systems.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages for embedded devices, such as C and C++.
- Hands-on experience with version control systems for collaborative development.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively share technical information.
- Collaborative mindset, capable of working closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software applications development.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English to communicate effectively with global teams in different geographical locations.
