Software Asset Manager

Location: Beaverton, Oregon (Hybrid: Onsite Monday-Thursday, and can work remotely from home on Fridays)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Software Asset Manager to oversee software licensing and compliance for a global enterprise environment. This role focuses on audit processes, vendor relationships, and cross-functional communication rather than software engineering. The position will involve working under the Director of IT Asset Management & ITSM and collaborating with various teams across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage software assets and licenses across a global enterprise.

  • Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and standards.

  • Conduct audits and manage relationships with key software vendors.

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders regarding software asset management.

  • Support IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) initiatives.

  • Handle leave coverage responsibilities for the team.

  • Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in Software Asset Manager or Licensing Management within a global enterprise environment.

Skills

  • Experience with enterprise-level software from vendors such as Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, IBM, and SAP.

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with reporting and data analysis.

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Software Asset Management.

  • ITAM/SAM certifications (e.g., CSAM, CITAM, ISO 19770).

  • Previous industry experience is beneficial but not required.
