About the Role Join Mercedes pay, the FinTech arm of Mercedes-Benz, focused on payments across the ecosystem. The role involves shaping software and system architectures for the Mercedes pay payment platform and its customer-facing products to deliver secure, seamless experiences across Mercedes-Benz products and services. What You'll Do
- Shape innovative software and system architectures for the Mercedes pay payment platform and its customer-facing products.
- Translate business, functional, and non-functional requirements into clear architecture decisions and scalable solution designs.
- Design, validate, and continuously evolve robust solutions that align with current needs and future requirements.
- Assess existing systems, infrastructure, and business processes to identify improvement opportunities and ensure smooth integration into the overall system landscape.
- Define the platform’s architecture, including components, interfaces, data flows, and the right technologies, platforms, and tools.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders as well as Solution, Enterprise, Cloud, and Security Architects to develop right-fit solutions.
- Work with external development teams to ensure architectural consistency, quality standards, and best practices.
- Communicate complex topics in a clear way and document key solution decisions to share knowledge across the team. What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in software and system architecture design for complex platforms, with the ability to translate requirements into architecture decisions.
- Experience defining platform architecture, data flows, interfaces, and selecting technologies, platforms, and tools.
- Strong collaboration skills with multiple stakeholders including Solution, Enterprise, Cloud, and Security Architects.
- Ability to work with external development teams and maintain architectural consistency and quality.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills for sharing key decisions with the team.
