Job title: Sociology Adjunct Faculty
About the Role The Department of Sociology at the University of La Verne invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate sociology courses. This is a continuous, part-time, temporary pool for on-campus, as-needed assignments, with courses including Intro to Sociology, Sociology Theory, Research Methods, Stratification, Statistics, and various criminology offerings.
What You'll Do Teach undergraduate sociology courses (Intro to Sociology, Sociology Theory, Research Methods, Stratification, Statistics) and criminology courses as assigned. Contribute to student learning in an on-campus, adjunct capacity; participate in the pool of applicants for part-time, temporary assignments as needed.
What We're Looking For A Ph.D. in Sociology is preferred; MA in Sociology or PhD/MA in Criminology will also be considered. Willingness to teach undergraduate sociology and criminology courses in an on-campus setting; employment contingent upon successful completion and clearance of a background check and employment verification.
Compensation & Benefits Pay rate: Adjunct Instructor (no terminal degree) $27.04 per hour; Adjunct Professor (with terminal degree) $28.08 per hour.
