Social Worker (Warrant Officer)
POST: Social Worker (Warrant Officer) LOCATION: Social Worker Services, Head Office, Pretoria LEVEL OF REMUNERATION: Band B1, R 385 740 per annum REFERENCES: HRM 11/2026 (1 post) Generic Requirements: Be in possession of a Senior Certificate / Grade 12 / National Certificate (Vocational)recorded on the National Learner Record Database (NL-RD) on at least NQF level 4; Applicants must display competency in the post-specific functions of the post; Be proficient in at least two official languages, of which one must be English; Be a citizen of the Republic of South Africa of which documentary proof must be furnishedon the day of interview; Must have no previous convictions or pending criminal / departmental or civil cases; Must not have tattoo/s marks which will be visible when wearing any uniform of the Service; Computer Literacy; Interpersonal, communication and Organizational Skills; Analytical, Self-Management and Problem Solving Skills; Report Writing, presentation, development skills; Relevant courses in the field of the post may be an advantage. Additional Requirements: Must be in possession of a (4) four-year Degree in Social Work registered (accredited bySAQA on at least a NQF level 7 or higher level). Must be registered with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP)as a Social Worker and submit proof of valid registration for 2026/2027 financial year. Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation and policies. Must be prepared to work in a multi-disciplinary team and be able to market Social WorkServices. Successful candidate must be willing to travel and attend courses when required. Experience in facilitation/ presentation, supervision/ management experience will be anadvantage.
