About the Role

• Solar Depot is looking for a creative, proactive, and highly organised Content Creator & Social Media Manager to own our content process from idea to execution.
• We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just wait for content briefs. You should be able to turn our products, installations, customers, team, industry trends, and everyday activities into engaging content ideas that build the Solar Depot brand, educate our audience, and generate interest in our products and services. You should also live in proximity to Opic, Berger, Lagos. (Ikeja, Ogba, Ketu, Ojota, Mowe, Berger, etc.)

What You’ll Be Responsible For

You will manage the complete content creation process, including:

• Developing creative content ideas and concepts for Solar Depot
• Creating monthly and weekly content plans
• Researching relevant social media trends and identifying ways Solar Depot can participate in them
• Writing scripts, hooks, captions, and content outlines
• Planning and coordinating content shoots
• Filming high-quality short-form and long-form videos, product videos, installation content, behind-the-scenes content, educational videos, and other brand content
• Directing team members or other individuals featured in content when necessary
• Editing Reels, TikToks, short-form and long-form videos, photos, and other social media content
• Posting and scheduling content across our social media platforms
• Maintaining a consistent Solar Depot brand voice and visual identity
• Monitoring content performance and identifying what is working using insights and analytics

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate should:

• Have strong content ideation and storytelling skills
• Experience with tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Canva, Photoshop, or similar platforms
• Experience managing a brand’s social media accounts
• Experience interpreting social media analytics and performance data
• Be comfortable filming with a smartphone and professional camera equipment
• Have strong video editing skills
• Understand Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, and short-form content
• Know how to create strong hooks and engaging social media videos
• Have a good understanding of social media trends and internet culture
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be comfortable appearing on camera
• Be able to direct other people during content shoots
• Have a good eye for composition, lighting, framing, and visual storytelling
• Be organised enough to manage several pieces of content from ideation through publishing
• Be proactive and able to generate ideas independently
• Understand that good content should not only look attractive but should also educate, engage, build trust, and ultimately support business growth
