About the Role
We are looking for a creative, driven social media and Platform Content Manager to build Playridot’s voice, grow our community, and keep our platform full of fresh, high-quality content. You will own our social presence end to end and shape the content experience inside the app. This is a hands-on, build-from-the-ground-up role for someone who loves storytelling.
What you’ll do
- Social media and brand
- Own our social strategy and content calendar across Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), Facebook, and LinkedIn
- Create scroll-stopping content — short-form video, player highlights, behind-the-scenes, tutorials, interviews and success stories
- Drive pre-launch momentum and lead our launch campaigns
- Grow followers, engagement, waitlist sign-ups and app installs
- Engage our community every day — comments, DMs, WhatsApp football groups and academy networks
- Run ambassador and influencer partnerships with ex-players, coaches and creators
- Track performance and report on what’s working — then iterate fast
- Platform content and community
- Curate and manage content inside the Playridot app — spotlight players, academies and standout showcases
- Keep the platform feed fresh, engaging and high-quality
- Set and uphold simple content standards so every showcase looks its best
- Work with the Operations team to onboard players and academies and gather great content
- Surface success stories that build trust with scouts and clubs
Requirements
-
2+ years in social media and/or content creation (brand, sports, media or startup)
-
A strong portfolio of content you have made and grown — especially short-form video
-
Great storytelling and a sharp eye for what makes people stop and watch
-
Hands-on skills with tools like CapCut, Canva or Adobe (or similar)
-
A solid grasp of social analytics, and the instinct to turn numbers into decisions
-
Excellent written communication and community management
-
Nice-to-have
-
Experience launching a product or brand from scratch
-
Familiarity with the Nigerian sports ecosystem — academies, clubs and creators
-
Basic design, motion graphics or photography skills
-
Who you are (how we work)
-
Users-first: you start every decision with “is this good for our players and scouts?”
-
Grassroots mindset: you show up, listen, and build real relationships
-
Bias to action: you experiment, learn and ship — done beats perfect
-
Resourceful: limited budget, unlimited creativity
-
Move fast, build trust: quick, but always credible
Benefits
- 250,000 - 300,000
