Social First Video Creator - for dm-drogerie markt

About the Role

We are seeking a Social First Video Creator to develop and produce social media video content for dm-drogerie markt. This remote role focuses on storytelling, rapid turnaround and platform-native formats, blending creativity with technology to drive engagement.

What You'll Do

• Create video content for social media campaigns from concept to final edit.
• Film autonomously, with eye for dynamics, lighting and pacing, thinking in content rather than traditional film formats.
• Edit, voice-over, and animate assets with platform logic, trends and storytelling.
• Advise our creatives on feasibility, style and execution and then independently implement final concepts.
• Work closely with concept, design, performance and the client to ensure fast and high-quality delivery.
• Utilize AI tools to optimize workflows or extend creative options (e.g., editing, sound, or visual effects).

What We're Looking For

• 2–5 years experience in Social Media Content Creation, UGC or Motion Design, ideally in an agency or social-first team.
• Experience in videography (phone, mirrorless, or small rigs) and proficient with Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
• Fast, structured and high-quality work ethic; not perfectionism but with aesthetics.
• Strong understanding of trends and platform mechanics and ability to apply them.
• Ownership of quality, timing and efficiency in production.
• Openness to new technologies and AI; use tools as smart support, not gimmicks; some AI in video production.
• Autonomy, team spirit and collaborative mindset in interdisciplinary teams.
• Remote work okay; willingness to travel for on-site shoots (e.g., Karlsruhe or Stuttgart).
• Very good German; English is a plus.
