About the Role The SMT Operator will set up, tear down, and operate surface mount equipment in a lean manufacturing environment to support Printed Circuit Board Assembly processes. The role emphasizes quality, process adherence, and timely communication of line status. What You'll Do
- Set up and operate surface mount equipment.
- Perform basic levels of maintenance and assist maintenance technicians as required.
- Identify and report defective components.
- Ensure accuracy of work-in-process and track line status every hour.
- Make minor machine adjustments as needed.
- Control, document, and process MRB non-conforming material.
- Follow ISO and job-specific procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and surrounding space.
- Inspect each assembled PCB before solder operations to ensure compliance with solderability standards.
- Assist engineering in debugging equipment programs.
- Maintain data logs.
- Perform other responsibilities as required by the business. What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in equipment operation preferred.
- Knowledge of workmanship standards.
- Experience with pick and place equipment.
- Knowledge of component identification and nomenclature.
- Ability to set up and tear down operation.
- Knowledge of component handling, including ESD requirements.
- Capable of performing job functions utilizing written procedures, verbal instructions and visual aids.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively in a lean team environment. Nice to Have

- Salary starts at $22.00 per hour, depending on experience.
