SMT Maintenance Engineer

In this role, you will support SMT manufacturing equipment through hands-on troubleshooting, performance monitoring, preventive maintenance, and equipment improvement. Your work will help reduce machine downtime, maintain stable production, and ensure the consistent manufacture of quality products that meet customer expectations.

Our Team

You will work closely with the SMT production, engineering, technician, quality, and maintenance teams. Together, the team supports equipment reliability, production continuity, audit readiness, capability development, and continuous improvement across SMT operations.

What You Will Do

• Provide technical support for SMT production, with a focus on equipment exception handling and troubleshooting.
• Develop and train technicians to reduce capability gaps between technicians and engineers.
• Execute preventive maintenance and troubleshooting activities to continuously reduce machine downtime.
• Define maintenance plans and monitor maintenance execution and effectiveness.
• Detect, address, track, and report potential equipment problems.
• Lead the maintenance team in achieving relevant performance indicators and operational targets.
• Manage spare parts and identify solutions for pain points or bottlenecks across SMT workflow stations.
• Ensure every maintenance item meets customer audit and management system audit requirements.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and new equipment.
• Communicate effectively in written and spoken English.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• College degree or above in computer engineering, automation control, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of experience in SMT operations within an electronics manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting relevant SMT equipment, including printing, placement, reflow, AOI, SPI, laser, conveyor, and de-paneling equipment.
• Ability to edit and adjust programs for relevant SMT equipment, with working knowledge of FUJI software such as Fuji Flexa, FujiTrax, and related accessory software.
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610E, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements, together with proficiency in standard computer hardware and office software.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience in automation design, equipment assembly, PLC programming, or Viscom 7056RS debugging.
• Practical TPM experience.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
