Job title: SMB Account Executive
Startbutton is looking for a results-driven SMB Account Executive to drive product adoption and revenue growth among Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) across Africa. The ideal candidate will lead outbound sales efforts and build long-term customer relationships while collaborating with internal teams to ensure client success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Identify, prospect, and engage potential SMB clients through outbound sales activities.
- Conduct product demonstrations and sales presentations.
- Negotiate and close deals to secure long-term business partnerships.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to strengthen sales strategies.
- Manage and maintain a healthy sales pipeline while providing accurate sales forecasts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Ensure smooth client onboarding and customer experience.
- Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Customer Support teams to drive client success.
- Engage with key stakeholders, partners, and industry influencers.
- Represent Startbutton professionally at all customer and industry touchpoints.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' proven sales experience with a track record of achieving targets.
- Strong expertise in outbound sales, prospecting, lead qualification, and pipeline management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Zoho, HubSpot, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in the international B2B payments industry is required.
