Job Title: Slitter Machine Operator

Shift: 3rd Shift, 11 PM - 7 AM, Sun-Thurs

Job Description Are you a detail-oriented, hands-on problem solver looking to grow your skills in custom printing and finishing? We are seeking a self-motivated Slitter Machine Operator to join our 3rd Shift, 11PM-7AM, Sun-Thurs.

In this role, you will operate thermal, inkjet, and turret slitter equipment to print, encode, slit, and finish custom labels, tags, and RFID products. Working alongside supportive teammates, supervisors, and cross-functional teams like Quality and Warehouse, you will ensure high-quality production runs that meet customer specifications.

What You’ll Do

  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot thermal, inkjet (Astro Nova, Muhlbauer PL Light), and Monarch printing systems.
  • Perform equipment setups, changeovers, and knife/tension adjustments on single/dual tooling turret slitters.
  • Interpret order specifications, perform quality checks, and manage station materials and inventory.
  • Load supply rolls, pack finished orders, create case labels, and stage completed products.
  • Collaborate with your team to solve problems, support safety, and identify continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; 3+ years of related machine operation experience preferred.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and good color vision.

  • Familiarity with measurement tools (shop scales, overlay gauges) and basic math (decimals/percentages).

  • Basic PC proficiency (Google Workspace, Excel, Word, or production management software).

  • Ability to stand up to 8 hours daily and lift/carry up to 50 lbs (30 lbs overhead).

  • Self-starter who works well independently and collaborates effectively in a team environment.
