POSITION SUMMARY

• Responsible for carrying out day-to-day maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house facilities, and hotel equipment. The Technician – Ken Fix provides multi-skilled maintenance support covering basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, and general repair works to ensure a safe, functional, and luxury hotel.
• Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests.
• Inspect and repair defects in guestrooms and suites.
• Maintain room fixtures, fittings, and furniture to luxury hotel standards.
• Ensure guest room equipment operates correctly and safely.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance works involving:
• Replace lamps and light fixtures.
• Repair switches, sockets, and controls.
• Troubleshoot basic electrical faults.
• Replace damaged electrical accessories.
• Repair leaking faucets and valves.
• Clear drain blockages.
• Replace traps, hoses, and fittings.
• Repair flushing systems and sanitary fixtures.
• Tile replacement.
• Grouting repairs.
• Minor concrete and plaster repairs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical Certificate, Vocational Diploma, or equivalent trade qualification.
• Training in building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or related fields preferred.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 1–2 years experience in:

• Luxury hotels

• Resorts

• Commercial buildings

• Residential high-rise properties

• Hospitality experience preferred.
