Site Supervisor

About the Role Site Supervisor at Univar Solutions in Ladson, SC, responsible for the daily safe, efficient, legal and economical operations of the assigned branch including transportation, warehouse and tank farm. The role ensures compliance with corporate health, safety and environmental policies, and supports branch health and safety initiatives, incident investigations, and management reporting. What You'll Do

• Responsible for the daily safe, efficient, legal and economical operations of assigned branch, including transportation, warehouse and tank farm.
• Facilitate compliance to corporate health, safety, and environmental policies, including completing required training, documentation and record-keeping.
• Support sales efforts consistent with corporate and regulatory compliance, health, safety and environmental standards.
• Support branch health and safety program and conduct safety audits with Branch Operations Manager.
• Assist Branch Operations Manager with timely and detailed incident investigations, communicate root causes and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Regularly update upper management on branch performance, including cost and productivity opportunities, issues, and trends.
• Conduct daily pre-shift meetings, communicate expectations to employees, and maintain supervisory presence.
• Coordinate day-to-day work activities to meet operational goals.
• Ensure employees have required tools and training on safety, operating standards and department goals.
• Create a positive work environment and foster employee ownership of branch operations and performance.
• May oversee drug testing and medical surveillance as required.
• Perform general office work, email communications and correspondence with internal and external customers.
• Support inspections and paperwork related to hazardous waste generation and waste pickup transport.
• Participate in inspections by outside agencies (DOT, EPA, FDA, DHS).
