Job title: Site Superintendent

About the Role The Site Superintendent manages day-to-day on-site on federal construction projects, coordinating planning, scheduling, and execution to meet plan, schedule, and budget. This role reports to the assigned Project Manager for Mountain Point and serves as the on-site liaison with Government Contracting Officials, with responsibilities spanning Cherry Point, NC and the Southern United States.

What You'll Do

  • Be the primary contact with the Government until acceptance.
  • Be at the job site at all times when work is taking place and have full authority to act for the Contractor.
  • Attend and participate in preconstruction progress, weekly meetings, coordination meetings, including project and subcontractor meetings.
  • Support project health and safety plans in the workplace according to OSHA guidelines and EM385-1-1.
  • Maintain professionalism and superior customer service; enforce safety and quality standards.
  • Understand scope; contract with subcontractors; coordinate and schedule trades; resolve issues to timely conclusions.
  • Supervise coordination with contractors and provide services and infrastructure; prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients.
  • Oversee day-to-day field activities; assist Project Managers when unavailable; assist subcontractors with Federal procedures; manage subcontractor base access.
  • Supervise subcontractors and subordinate staff; conduct employee orientations and safety meetings.
  • Enforce client-required safety policies and company safety rules; discipline per policy.
  • Conduct pre-final inspections; establish punch lists; ensure deficiencies are corrected.
  • Coordinate and conduct final inspections with government contracting and civil engineer personnel.
  • Submit as-builts; manage close-out and warranty responses with the project manager.
  • May serve as Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) on Federal contracts if needed; support the Contractor Health and Safety Program.

What We're Looking For

  • Active or ability to obtain Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification from the USACE is required.
  • Experience supervising crews and subcontractors; ability to lead on schedule and budget.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices and standards; ability to coordinate with Government Contracting Officials and subcontractors.
  • Familiarity with EM 385-1-1, OSHA guidelines, and safety program management.
  • Ability to serve as SSHO on Federal contracts if needed.
  • Willingness to travel, work in field environments, and operate with minimal supervision; strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage safety, quality and schedule to meet contract requirements.
