Site Security Operations Intern

**Job Description Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented student to join the Security team and support key initiatives that strengthen security culture, improve compliance with the Security Framework, and enhance SQDC performance. This role is ideal for a student interested in project coordination, data analysis, reporting, process follow-up, and the use of AI tools to improve efficiency and decision-making.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Support budget tracking and analysis, helping monitor monthly expenses, forecasts, and variances using Smartsheet and Excel.
• Assist in project coordination and follow-up, including schedules, milestones, risks, meeting minutes, and status presentations for stakeholders.
• Help maintain compliance with the Security Framework, collecting evidence, identifying gaps, and tracking corrective actions with different teams.
• Support Security audits, dashboard updates, and vulnerability tracking.
• Maintain reports and dashboards to ensure data accuracy and visibility for reviews and audits.
• Help streamline approval workflows, identify bottlenecks, and support timely escalations.
• Contribute to Security awareness activities, including communications, session logistics, and visual materials.
• Support visitor communications and the maintenance of the GEIQ Welcome Center.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Administration

• No more than 1.5 years remaining before graduation

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Problem-solving and analytical abilities

• Enthusiasm for learning and professional growth.

• Good communication in Spanish and English

Desired Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of Project Management
• Intermediate Smartsheet
• Intermediate Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Basic to intermediate use of AI tools to support analysis, reporting, content creation, and process efficiency
