About the Role Cape Fox Expeditionary is seeking experienced construction professionals to serve in field supervision roles, including a Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO), on Federal and DoD construction projects including ACOE, NAVFAC, Air Force, NASA and CBP. The role focuses on the day-to-day management, supervision, safety, and quality control of assigned construction projects and reports directly to the Project Manager. Projects are primarily performed at U.S. military and CBP installations along the Gulf Coast.

What You'll Do

• Plan, schedule, organize, direct, and control construction projects from start to finish in accordance with contract requirements, specifications, schedule, and budget.
• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact with the Government until project acceptance; be physically present on-site whenever construction activities are underway.
• Direct and coordinate subcontractors and vendors to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant performance. Prepare and maintain 4-week look-ahead schedules. Analyze project schedules to optimize sequencing, support concurrent activities, and implement early completion strategies.
• Coordinate, procure and execute mobilization activities. Conduct weekly progress meetings with Government representatives and subcontractors. Lead a crew on schedule while monitoring quality of work and safety compliance.
• Serve as the primary on-site liaison with Government representatives and oversee subcontractors and vendors to ensure contract documents, safety standards, quality requirements, and project schedules and budgets are met.
• Safety Management (SSHO): Implement and enforce safety programs in compliance with OSHA and EM 385-1-1. Conduct daily safety inspections. Review AHAs and safety plans. Maintain safety deficiency logs and ensure timely corrective actions. Conduct orientations and regular safety meetings. Enforce client/company safety policies and PPE usage. Identify hazards and implement controls.
• General, Administrative & Compliance Duties: Prepare and submit detailed daily reports. Manage subcontractor badging/base access. Maintain project documentation in Procore, Kahua, RMS, ECMS, SharePoint, and other platforms. Ensure compliance with policies, audits, and documentation requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, hazard-free site. Communicate professionally with Government officials, subcontractors, coworkers, and the public. Participate in pre-construction processes, buy-out assistance, site investigations, and pre-bid site walks. Provide feedback to estimating team.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in field supervision on Federal and DoD construction projects; ability to lead crews and coordinate subcontractors.
• Strong safety program knowledge (OSHA, EM 385-1-1); ability to implement safety plans and conduct safety meetings.
• Knowledge of project controls: scheduling, budgets, look-ahead development; ability to review schedules and optimize sequencing.
• Proficiency with construction software (Procore, Kahua, RMS, ECMS, SharePoint).
• Excellent communication with Government officials, subcontractors, and team members; willingness to travel and be on-site.

Nice to Have

• Pre-construction experience: site walks, scopes review, buy-out support, site investigations, and prep safety plans.
• IT and physical security upgrades experience; electrical, plumbing, HVAC, demolition, civil/utility work exposure.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $95,000 - $130,000 per year.
