Your New Role and Responsibilities
This technical role is responsible for assuring the reliability, availability, security, and operational performance of a mission-critical health platform delivered across multi-cloud and on-premises environments.
The SRE and Platform Engineer applies site reliability engineering, platform engineering, and secure systems integration practices to support a complex health capability. The role develops measurable evidence—including SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, resilience tests, operational telemetry, and trend analysis—to demonstrate that platforms are reliable, interoperable, compliant, and ready for operational use.
The role works directly with clinical, engineering, security, and operational teams to translate clinical service needs into reliable technical outcomes. It investigates system behaviour, validates integration health, automates repeatable controls, and produces evidence that reliability risks are understood and managed.
This role is critical to providing clinical teams with secure, stable, and observable systems that support safe decision-making and continuity of care. Its success is demonstrated through objective reliability evidence, reduced operational risk, and sustained platform performance.
